design + photography = paperclip collective

This partnership has been a long time coming, and was first discussed over tea parties and playing dressup. Sister team Christina and Janelle have both worked independently at their respective design and photography careers and have been lucky enough to collaborate on a few projects along the way. They found that clients often needed both their skills throughout the life of a project and decided to team up under one name, paperclip collective.

Depending on the scope and needs of your project or event, paperclip collective will provide inspiring graphic design and photography to creatively execute your ideas.

Our clients include interior and furniture designers, artists, retailers, wedding planners and brides, not-for-profit groups, animation and entertainment companies, healthcare and realtors. Please feel free to drop us a line to discuss your next project.

Christina Lazeski - Graphic Designer and Creative Development

Christina has been working full time as a graphic designer and project manager within the advertising and animation industries for eight years, while also running a freelance design business. Outside of work she's either playing in the sun or cruising the latest blogs, magazines or shops for inspiration.

"A few things not related to my work per-say, but help me get up in the morning... travel to far away or near places, chocolate chip cookies, sunshine, vintage furniture and posters, fashion photography and drawings, western type, letterpress cards, lake swimming, really good coffee."

Janelle Morcombe - Professional Photographer

Janelle has been working in the photography industry for eight years. Starting off her career with a photojournalism diploma from SAIT in Calgary, she then started working at the Calgary Herald newspaper honing her skill. She now enjoys running her own business, working on wedding and event photography, portrait, commercial as well as continuing to work within the newspaper and magazine industry.

Janelle is passionate about her work and focuses on creating a unique connection with all her photography subjects. She believes in capturing real images of people and places, creating memories that are authentic and honest. Her inspiration comes from travel to new places, the faces of strangers, old world buildings, open fields and beaches, love for her husband and family, morning coffees, and great love stories.
